Power Core’s Data Center application supports the ability to trim samples off of the head or the tail of a run file. This is particularly useful for getting rid of excess data that was sampled before or after a dyno pull. The steps to perform a trim are below.
.) First, open up the run you want to trim in Data Center.
.) Set the X axis channel to “Time”
.)Click the “Trim” button on the Data tab
.) On the graph, click where you would like to begin trimming.
.) Click to the left to trim all data before the selected point, or click to the right to trim all data after the selected point. The run below is being trimmed to the right.
.) Right click on the selected trim area and click “Trim” to perform the Trim.
.) Click the “Trim” button as shown in Step 3 again to exit Trim Mode and save the run file. Power Core will automatically save a backup file in the same directory as the trimmed run. If you ever desire to revert the trim, re-open the trimmed run with the backup in the same directory and click the “Revert” button, which is right next to the “Trim” button. Note: Trim operations are performed on ALL of the channels in a run file, not just the one selected on the graph(s).
